What percentage of people does TCOM match? ›

In 2023, TCOM had a placement rate of 100% of its students matching into a variety of specialties. Members of the Class of 2024 entered medical school at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic and completed an unprecedented first year of training through virtual and in-person learning.

The totals are in and it was an extraordinary Match season for TCOM's Class of 2024. TCOM students had a placement rate of 99.6%, into 18 different specialties with 66% percent matching in primary care and 67% staying in Texas.

At the March 15 Match Day ceremony, members of the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Tucson Class of 2024 learned where they will spend the next three to seven years of their careers as physicians in specialized residency training programs.

At exactly 9 a.m. Pacific Time on every third Friday of March, anxious graduating medical students around the country tear open envelopes to reveal where they matched for their residencies.

It depends on your program, but it seems like most people wear business casual attire: men in slacks and a collared shirt and women in dresses, skirts, slacks, or blouses. It's fun to be a little dressy for such a big day where lots of pictures will (hopefully) be taken!
