In this quest you have to find Jaeger's encrypted message on Woods. The message is located under a hunting stand which is located in the eastern part of the location, near the crashed plane. Once you have obtained the message, you must extract from the location and hand it over to Mechanic.

You will be inflicted with Unknown toxin poisoning upon entering the area even when wearing a mask. This is intended and can only be cured with Antitoxin.

Use a study outline (teacher supplied or your own) to focus on the concepts and skills most likely to be tested. If your teacher offers tutorial sessions, make every effort to attend. Consider studying in groups to go over challenging problems and/or concepts, and ask your teacher for help when you have difficulties.

Here you'll need to find the camp built by another NPC that you have locked at the moment, called Jaeger. In that camp, you'll have to find a message and then deliver it to the Mechanic — which means you need to survive the Raid with the message in your inventory. You can complete this quest as a Scav or a PMC.

Guide. To do this quest, grab any bolt-action rifle. Factory is a recommended location for this quest, as there are ample opportunities to engage PMC's at 25m or closer. You can use the M7290 grenade, the Zarya grenade or a KS-23M with the Zvezda flashbang round to flash and stun PMC'S and make them easier targets.

Now, you can receive the Gunsmith Part 1 quest from Mechanic. As soon as you accept this quest, Mechanic will also have another quest available, named "Introduction". Upon completing the Introduction, you will be able to unlock Jaeger.
