This is an awesome chili. It is very easy to make. It is extremely flavorful. I didn't make the cream. I added 12 ounces of turkey, because that is what I had on hand. I ate it without cheese or sour cream. I didn't miss them. I will definitely make this again.

I only had ground beef in the freezer, and I don't eat pork, so I substituted turkey bacon. Otherwise, I followed the recipe as written and it was easily one of my favourite chill recipes ever. The blended beans gave it such a great texture. Plus my husband loved it!

Man oh man was this good! Next time I will make a bigger batch and freeze some. We served leftovers over spaghetti and topped with chopped onion and shredded cheese (3-way chili style). This kind of chili would be great for frito chili pie. I used lean ground beef instead of turkey and used medium hot salsa. Omitted the sugar and topped with sour cream and cilantro instead of making the sour cream mixture. Not sure what the bacon added.

I just made this tonight and it is quite tasty! I love the fact that the recipe doesn't use any added salt and that there is more beans than meat. I think next time I may leave out the bacon, I'm not sure I could really taste in the recipe anyways. Try it out!

I make this often, it's a fabulous quick & healthy turkey chili. I use the recipe as a template and use more ground turkey breast, and also more veggies. I add grated zucchini, frozen sweet white corn, and a box of baby kales or other quick cooking greens during the last 15 minutes of cooking. I don't usually make the cilantro cream, we just use sour cream or Greek yogurt on the top and we do put grated cheddar on the top. I often use one can of black beans and one can of red beans.

This is sooooo good. I used a medium-heat chipotle salsa instead of mild, a bit of grapeseed oil instead of the cooking spray (didn't have any), and applewood-smoked bacon instead of hickory-smoked (would have required another trip to another store). I also used no-salt-added beans and beef broth. I didn't make the sour cream topping (don't like cilantro), and instead topped it with a tablespoon of nonfat Greek yogurt. It makes great leftovers, too. I will definitely making this again in the (near) future.

I just used this for a chili cook off and got 1st place by quite a lot! Pretty much this is the best chili I've ever had! I did modify it by using 4 types of beans for variety and also cutting out the hot spices, and it was perfect.

Wow. Didn't expect it to be SO good. Sautéing the spices before adding the liquid really gives this chili a distinct smoky flavor. I put the recommended cornbread on top of the chili and baked it all in the oven for the last 15 minutes. Big hit for us but too spicy for our three year old.

Great flavors! I used two teaspoons of cayenne pepper instead of the chili powder and crushed red pepper, it was hot but perfect with cornbread. I will definitely make again, probably with 1 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper next time.

This is fabulous! It was just the right amount of spicy for us. I didn't add the sour cream part and we didn't miss it. I took other reviewer suggestions and served with cornbread. I would definitely make this again, for myself or for a crowd.

awesome! I used 1 lb turkey (since that is how you get it at the store) so I 'processed' 2 cans of beans, and put 1 whole can in. I added some frozen corn. I kept the spices as is and it was spicy enough. I served it with corn bread. Loved it, it will now be my go-to chili!

Loved it. Easy and delicious. I only used one strip of bacon as my husband isn't a huge bacon fan, and I used medium salsa for extra spiciness. This had a nice spice, but it wasn't super spicy. I like the bean puree idea. Good way to up the protein without having whole beans.

My family loved this. I made it because I had everything on hand. Added corn since we're huge corn lovers and omitted tomato paste since I didn't have any. The sour cream with cilantro and lime juice made the recipe. Thanks to the reader who recommended the Cooking Light Sweet Corn Muffins... my kids ate the entire batch and begged for me to make them again. Terrific, easy meal.

I made exactly as written, but omitted the ground turkey. I hadn't planned on replacing it with anything, but in the end I felt it needed something. I added 2/3 cups of quick Barley and simmered partially covered for 20 minutes. I did have to add more broth to compensate for the liquid soaked up from the barley. It had a good flavor and I liked the sour cream, cilantro, lime sauce. If I made again I would probably cut the chili powder back to 1 tablespoon. I thought the sauce was a bit rich with spices and a little over powering.

My husband and I really enjoyed this chili. My husband doesn't like sour cream, so I only made a half batch of the topping...but he ended up liking it enough that I had to make the rest of the sour cream topping for our left overs. I only had one slice of bacon, so I added a little chopped pancetta to make up. I also topped it with some Mexican Four Cheese. Definetly plan to make this one again!

Didn't want bacon so I added more turkey, also only had chicken stock so I added that instead of beef broth and I used a whole small can of tomato paste to make it extra thick...and YUM-O! We didn't miss the "beef" at all! Next time I will double the recipe to put some away in the freezer. Served with Cooking Lights Sweet Corn Muffins...eating light never tasted sooo good!

I have tried a number of chili recipes over this past year and this is the best one yet! My boyfriend loved it and so did our friend that we had over for dinner. They both voted it a definite make again recipe! I was impressed by the depth of flavor given the short amount of cooking time! The only modification I made was that I added 4 strips of bacon instead of 3. I also didn't make the sour cream topping. I just put out light sour cream and light shredded cheese so everyone could add their own toppings. YUM!!

Made this last night because I had almost everything on hand already. It was awesome! Left out the fresh peppers because I didn't have any but I'm sure it would only add to the overall flavor. Also, we're not big on sour cream so instead I added a splash of lime juice before serving and sprinkled with chopped cilantro. This was such an easy recipe that we're going to make it again today so that I can make some chili nachos and have leftovers for lunch. Yum!

This chili had a wonderful depth of flavor while keeping just enough heat without overpowering our taste buds. The recipe itself was quick and fairly easy. I doubled the amount of red bell pepper due to the fact that the green peppers from my garden looked a bit scary. I also substituted dried cilantro for fresh. Next time I make it, I might add water instead of beef broth or I might double the recipe and see how well it freezes. All in all, we loved this recipe and it will be our standard chili recipe from now on.
